Research topics:

  • photo-physics, photo-chemistry and photo-biology of antitumor photoactive agents: mechanism of their antitumor action (from molecular and cellular levels up to application in photodynamic therapy)
  • structure and conformation of biological macromolecules and their interactions with drugs

Methods: classical, resonance (UV) Raman spectroscopy, fluorescence and absorption spectroscopy (steady state and time resolved), optical imaging (fluorescence and Raman), molecular simulations
